Last week the girls and I went to go see my Auntie Gill and Uncle Paul. We had such a good time with them. They are my godparents and with all of our parents out of town, have become surrogate grandparents to my girls. Now all of us love each other and have a great time. Here is my Auntie Gill with Eleanor:

But all of our affection for each other pales in comparison to what Sophia and my Uncle Paul have going on. They love each other so much that when they are together you can almost see little cartoon bluebirds of love twitterpating around their heads. I asked Sophia what she like best about our visit and she said, "Paul."
Here they are playing camping. The look on Sophia's face says it all:

We also went to the Aquarium with our friends. Adam was teaching Sophia how to throw coins in the fountain:

The great thing is that if she didn't like her throw Adam would reach in the fountain and her coin back so she could throw again!

Eleanor started eating solids. Here she is after an encounter with a banana in one of those suck-on-mushy-sacs:

And...Wade's sister got these matching sweaters for the girls. Sophia put hers on today and specially requested Eleanor be dressed in hers too and have their picture taken together.

Now I have thought a little bit about the matchy thing and I think I am a fan. (Come on, look at them!) I don't remember having anything matching with my sisters but I think I would have liked it. But I feel this may lead to some potential angst for some people...So, here's my question of the day. Matching clothes on siblings- yes or no? Let me know!

yes when they are ages apart.. no when they look the same.. i can barely tell my guys apart as it is. but outfits that are the same but different yes.. we do that LOTS.. you know strips on one solid on the other of the same shirt that kind of thing.
ooh and thanks for your comment.. it meant alot on a day like today. love you. want to come for coffee tomorrow morning.. our kids could play and we could chat...
i'm in! i'll meet you in between the time zones!
okay, the matchy thing. let's see. now my mom did that for us. you know, 4 years b/t me & my sis, 4 years b/t jamie & dan. when i was really young i kind of liked that my lil sis was matching me, but don't do it for too long. pretty soon i hated that we had to have the same christmas dress, easter dress, summer halter, shorts, hats. it just got out of hand. but you should see our pics sometime. we're cute. ;) like gag cute.
i DO want to see pictures!
My sister and I would getting matching stuff all the time and we were just 2 3/4 years apart. It was fine when we were little and didn't really know better, but as we got older....like 8 and up, it got a bit annoying. It becomes the easy gift of all the relatives and if you don't like the same things as big sis, or little sis, you don't want to wear the same clothes. My sister and I still get matching stuff sometimes, just cause it's easier to pick out one thing of a different color than pick out two different styles. Ok I think I can stop talking now.
i am a twin. enough said.
if not, my mom DID match us. as said before, don't do it too long. identity often goes along with clothes, and it is crucial to have one's own identity. foster that. it'll save you money on therapy bills, if it doesn't on clothes...
